The Maker Garden provides the best possible environment to promote creative growth naturally.

“Everyone is born creative; everyone is given a box of crayons in kindergarten. Then they take the crayons away and replace them with dry, uninspiring books on algebra, history. Getting the ‘creative bug’ later  is a wee voice telling you, I’d like my crayons back, please.”

– Hugh MacLeod

The process of inquiry is essential to learning and is how we all learn. The Maker Garden meets these natural impulses head-on with basic science concepts in a fun environment. Using Design Thinking concepts we facilitate and improve the creative thinking and making process. We start with children as young as age 5 and provide appropriate structure and compelling materials to encourage children and adults to create and explore.

Our philosophy is simple: Let people experiment and make, whether it’s a digital artifact or a physical artifact.

Through hands-on creative workshops, we encourage children and adults to build and invent.
